Basenjis and Bows

Shaka in a bow tie

Those who know my history with basenjis and my personality are aware that my first basenji was named Bow.  Thus, I find that a favorite subject to doodle is a basenji in a bow tie.  This one seems to be more closely resembling Shaka than it does the late Lady Bow.  I have taken a few photos of Shaka decked out in bow ties which I like to wear too.  The reaction — especially from women — when I wear them to work is always striking.  Amazing what the slightest dash of silk and color can bring.

  1. I remember Miss Bow. May her spirit fly high.

Love your drawings. May we see a picture of you wearing a dashing bow tie? Please?
